Registration is open joint Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) in July 2012 entrance exam of the course for men and women.
1) Flying Branch : 10th SSC Flying Branch for Men
Qualification : Graduate in any discipline with recognized university with 60% of marks.
Age Limit : 19 to 23 years.
2) Technical Branch :
A) 81st Aeronautical Engineers Course (AEC) Men Permanent Commission Technical Branch
B) 53nd Short Service Commission Course (SSC) Men & Women Technical Branch
Qualification : Degree qualification from a recognized university.
Age Limit : 18 to 23 years
3) Ground Duty Branches :
A) 132nd Ground Duty Officers Course (GDOC) for Permanent Commission for Men
B) 25th Ground Duty Officers Course (GDOC) for Short Service Commission (SSC) for Men
Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50 % marks in aggregated of all papers put together
Age: (As on January 1, 2013)
A) Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) AE (L):
Qualification: Candidate applying for AE (L) branch would be eligible if they are presently in their Pre-final year of four year BE/B.Tech degree qualification from a recognised university
B) Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) AE (M):
Qualification: Candidate applying for AE (M) branch would be eligible if they are presently in their Pre-final year of four year BE/B.Tech degree qualification from a recognised university
